Our History

The firm, Oguntoye & Oguntoye, was first established in 1949 by the late Chief David Ojo Abiodun Oguntoye of the Middle Temple and Nigerian Bar – the Legiri of Imesi-Ile.  He established the firm with his wife, the Honourable Justice Dulcie Ethel Adunola Oguntoye, OFR (Rtd.) also of the Middle Temple and the Nigerian Bar.

The Firm was Established

Sensitive Cases involving the country's future

The Firm was involved in sensitive political cases, land matters and civil litigation.

Two Partners took on more important roles

The two partners of the Firm became President Grade 1 Customary Court of Appeal of the Western Region and Magistrate/Judge of the Lagos State High Court respectively.

Firm resuscitated

As a result the firm naturally went into relapse for about 30 years until November 2012 when it was resuscitated by the present Senior Partner and son of the founders, Aderemi Oguntoye, Esq. The firm is registered as a business entity under the Companies and Allied Matters Act at the Corporate Affairs Commission.
